NOTE TO SELF: I have yet to list and rate my 2013 Twelve Books in one post. I’ll get to that when I get to it…:) I owe you one, my dear readers.
Unlike the previous two years when I just picked books gungho-style, I’m going to do it differently this year. I am big on organizing and planning. And you know what? Because I am sharing this with you, I am holding myself accountable to truly reading and finishing else i embarass myself online. Ha. So, I will be courageous and announce what 2014’s TwelveBooks are.
1 – Wild by Cheryl Strayed
2 – Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacs
3 – Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami
4 – Hunger Games Book 2
5 – Hunger Games Book 3
6 – The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman
7 – 11/22/63 by Stephen King
8 – Friends, Lovers, Chocolates – by Alexander Graham Smith
9 – The Signature of All Things – Elizabeth Gilbert
10 – Game of Thrones Book 4 ~ I need to bump this up the list in time for the HBO new season
11 – Love In The Time of Cholera – Gabriel Garcia Marquez
12 – Jamie Oliver’s 15 minute meals
If you notice I have light reading mixed in (4,5) to give myself a chance of some breathing space. Oh boy, these books are thick. My disclaimer is ~ I will allow myself to change my mind in any way, for as long as I do twelve. Audio books, short stories and non-fictions are allowed. There are no rules!
What do you think of my choices? Have you read any of them? What will you be reading this year? Start with just one…let’s do this together!
