Book #4: Sydney’s Best Harbour & Coastal Walks (the whole year of 2012) – Gift it.
Early 2012, I picked up this book impulsively on my way out of Coles, a supermarket chain. This $15 book beckoned me at a bookstall. It reminded me of a friend who spends her weekends in walkabouts around Sydney. I thought she would love this book to bits.
But then, I decided to keep it for myself. Sorry Jonie! You probably own this book anyway.
Do you believe that when you are in a certain frame of mind, you see things differently? For example, if you are in the market for a new car, you will start noticing all the BMWs everywhere you go. Before that, you were oblivious to them.
Things and people have always been around you, you just don’t see them until you need to.
That is what happened to me, I think. My mind was set in taking the family to bushwalks. I just needed something to push me in the right direction.
Sydney’s Best Harbour & Coastal Walks contains 37 walks along the picturesque Sydney coast and harbours. The book is perfect for families as it outlines walk duration, grade of terrain, shade conditions and distance. It also details any cafe, beach pockets, flora and fauna found along the way. There are tips in getting bus rides to and from destinations. It has everything you need!
I am so glad I found it! Certainly, a gift material to any of your adventure loving friends.

How I rate the Twelve Books:
Pass it – not worth your precious time
Borrow it – worthwhile reading but don’t buy it
Shelf it – worthy of a space in your bookcase
Gift it – it is so good, you want to share it
